Will Tries Out the Big One

Will was able to sit down today at the beautiful organ he will be playing in January at the concert. It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since his dad first carried him up to that choir loft as a baby. Tom took a little video for nostalgia purposes earlier today. Here Will tries out Jacques Lemmen’s Fanfare. (Sorry about the video quality – Tom had to go to a meeting towards the end of the video and set it down on the organ to finish up recording, LOL! Tom is famous for his *cough* quality family videos. :-))

Sam, don’t you like the video work there? My favorite part is when he covers the mic with his hand, hee hee.

Great job Will! I was getting a little dizzy with the filming, but I cant speak…I record the same way! 🙂

Dramamine is the only way to watch Tom’s videos. I need to use our other video camera and get some decent footage of these things, but I couldn’t go yesterday and so he used our sad little regular camera which has a video thing on it. The lighting was awful, too.

Will wants to play the organ at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. That’s his goal. His young organ friend who is at Julliard put on his facebook status a few weeks ago: “At Notre Dame Cathedral playing the organ at midnight.” Imagine playing in the place where Napoleon was crowned. So much history in those old walls.

Here’s a taste of that mighty organ!

🙂 Sam. Me, too. He says they give high level students opportunities to play—one reason that his organ friend was there at midnight. Somehow I think that is the perfect time. Toccata Gothique at midnight in Notre Dame is just about as good as it gets. (Think CB and BB!) Here you go, for old times sake. 😉

It brought tears to one aunt’s eyes! Magnificent!
    Definitely a God-given talent. I’m dittoing Sam’s
    words and actions…Kris

I just loved seeing your Friendship Town…You have arranged the buildings and people so beautifully…
It is heart warming to see the lights and the happiness there…
As Charlie Brown says…”I need all the friends I can get”.
    Love, ‘grandma Jeanne
