This brings back memories of my childhood. I loved listening to my mom’s records of Mr Shea. It is good to hear his voice again.
I confess I’ve watched this several times through this morning. The kindness in this man’s face is lovely to see. I heard him given the ultimate compliment by his daughter at the NRB Convention in D.C. years ago where they had a surprise birthday celebration for him. His daughter told the audience, “He’s just like he seems to be.” She went on to tell how he had adopted her.. He is over 100 now. In a world of pain, how we need to let the love of God show in our lives. If we can’t, something is wrong with our hearts.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. – 1 John 4:10
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” – Romans 4:5-8
