That’s funny, Francesca! Learning to navigate your way around bread, mustard, cheese and sandwich meat doesn’t sound nearly as tough as navigating a 767! But putting the most charitable construction on it, maybe he just wanted her company?

Excellent post.

I had a friend who was in a very large weekly Bible study here in town, and sometimes a number of the women enjoyed going out for lunch afterward. This woman’s children were in high school, but she couldn’t ever go with us if her pilot husband was off. She had to go home and make him lunch! He was a pilot for a major airline and could not make a sandwich. He expected his sandwich to be made and served by her. Good grief.

Jojo is also at the age where he loves too imitate what I do. He loves to “help” with laundry and sweeping the floor, or whatever else I might be trying to accomplish. It is SO worth taking the extra time to teach little hands to be helpful.
