Officials demanded that Lawrence give them the ‘treasures’ of the church.
Lawrence brought out the poor, elderly and disabled stating that they are the treasures of the church bought by the blood of Christ. He was then martyred on a gridiron.

May the Lord bless us in our present and future increasing persecution as we look forward to His Kingdom.
