The countdown has begun. 15 days are left before I get to meet Peter Samuel, our dear little grandson. We are having a family reunion, and we are counting down the days. Sam and Laura and baby Peter are coming, and Uncle Mike and Aunt Kris, and Auntie Emmy is most excited. She has informed me that she plans on “patting and kissing” her nephew who is just a shade under 3 years her junior, LOL! It will be the first time all 7 kids (including our daughter-in-law) will have been together for a year.
So big doings are afoot here. We can’t wait.

We cant wait either! I have an aunt who is only 3 years older than me. She was more like a cousin. I have never called her “aunt”.

Sooooo exciting, Ingrid!!
I have three grandchildren whom I have not seen in a year and a half (including Peter who is 20 months old), so I know how difficult it can be to be a long distance grandmother! (We hope to visit our faraway family this fall as they have recently moved somewhat closer…only a 13 hour drive away now.)
You are in for some sweet together-times! May you enjoy many memory-making moments! (And take lots of pics!)
(Oh, and the oldest of my eight grandchildren is a mere 20 months younger than my own youngest child.
