What an adventure! I am glad that they tree didnt hit the house and you are all safe too! What a blessing to have good neighbors. When we had that really BAD winter storm here I remember all the men in the neighborhood when house to house snowblowing and several hours later they were still working together!

I bet Emily thought that the tree was very interesting!

Ingrid,
Sounds like we have been in the same boat. A few months back, we had an ice storm that destroyed several 30+ year trees in our yard. For 3 days we listened to the cracking and falling of limbs on cars, fences, and decks.
We had a lot of time to complain but finally chose to look at it as God's pruning for us.

It brought out neighbors to help and produced a lot of fellowship. We fortunately got power back within a few hours but our neighbors were without power for five days. It forced me to put hands and feet to my faith as I cooked many meals and served them. It was a blessing.

We have to be careful to always remember that He directs our steps and I agree with you that complaining is often the first thing on our lips when confronted with time-consuming distractions.

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door to my lips! Psalm 141:3. ESV

In Christ,
Jean
