A Slice of Quiet…
September 8, 2007 by Ingrid Schlueter
Due to the fact that my other blog, Slice, is currently down, I have asked Pastor Ken Silva if he might point those Slice readers who also visit CRN to this explanation and update on the situation. Slice decided to go on vacation at the same time I did. The site went down in the early hours of Thursday morning. Due to a series of unforeseen circumstances, Slice’s host let the site go down. Months of work, gone in just a moment. They told us Thursday that is would be back up in 24 hours. Well, it’s Saturday and it’s still down. I wanted Slice readers to know that I have not abandoned the blog and my readers! I am hoping that the site will still come back sometime this weekend. Articles have piled up in my email to post and I’m ready to go whenever the site is back up. I thank all of you who have inquired about it and who have thanked me for the work that goes into getting the information posted.
In any event, I praise the Lord for a slice of “quiet” for a few days. This week I have been off work but due to my husband’s work schedule and several home improvement projects in progress, did not actually go anywhere. The new paint is up at home and the carpet in, and I’ve had fun getting my home back in shape. In the last few weeks my husband redecorated three bedrooms and the kitchen. I am so pleased at how it turned out. Tom takes his time but the end result is always excellent. He turned Sam and Will’s room into a northern “lodge”, complete with a light fixture that has antlers on it. Will said all his dad needs to do now is install a fieldstone fireplace to make it complete. He imagines himself roasting a wild boar while the north winds howl, ha! I drew the line at the proposed deer head they were talking about. Imagine seeing those eyes glittering some night in the dark…
Lord willing, I’ll be back in the saddle again on Monday. In the mean time, thanks to everyone for your concern and support. The Lord is good.
Hey! What’s wrong with a deer head! Well, glad to hear the situation with Slice isn’t permanent, and thank you again, Ingrid, for your sites.
God Bless
Sola Scriptura
I thank God you are okay, Ingrid. I was concerned about you when I couldn’t get through to Slice. (I was looking for something encouraging from Him to put up on our website for Sunday. ) So I emailed Ken Silva, and he pointed me to this site.
I love the picture at the top of the page!
Thank you so much for providing such a restful place.
With His love,
Berit
Good to see that everything’s okay. And I’m envious of a little vacation time :). Take care - many blessings and warmth to your upcoming sabbath.
Sending regards.
The boar roast sounds great!!!
Hi Ingrid, I’m glad that all is well with you and your family. (I wouldn’t want the deer head in my house, either). Enjoy your extra “nesting” time! God Bless you for all of your work that you do on the front lines! Love in Jesus, Carol
How wonderful that you’ve been able to spend extra time in your home! While I do learn a lot from Slice, I know that you love taking care of your family and home, so I am thankful that you’ve been given extra time this week to do that.
Any chance you’d be willing to share before/after pics of the new look in your home? The boys room sounds wonderful!
His,
Mrs. U
I’m so glad you’re back! I missed you and Slice. It sounds as if the time off was refreshing and valuable and for that I’m grateful.
Glad your getting family time
Keep up the good work
Bruce and Family
Congratulations!
You must have the Devil really mad.
Imagine the forces of Hell attacking your internet site… what a commendation of your work on behalf of the Lord and Holy Scripture.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!!!
Sister Ingrid,
You deserved that rest even though there was work in the mix. It is always fulfilling to work around the home in which the Lord blesses us with…
I pray that you were refreshed in His presence and that your site is restored. It is a great ministry and I truly appreciate it.
May the Lord bless you and your family continually!
Ingrid, Maybe the Lord just thought you needed a break! Yes we miss the site being on for a few days, but we’ll live.
Oh Ingrid I am so happy you are getting some much needed time off! Hallelujah! Anyway I was worried about slice and now am relieved. I hope all that information isn’t totally gone….wow God bless you
I just finished reading the post at Old Truth, and my heart is broken for you, and for all of us who have come to depend on Slice for our information. We have prayed for you and your ministry - words cannot express how devastated we are by this news.
Thank you, Ingrid, for your faithful and courageous service to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ingrid,
I’m in mourning that I won’t be able to read “Slice” anymore. I understand why you feel the way you do and I don’t blame you for not wanting to start all over again, but Slice become so much a part of my walk. I was always so edified by what I read. It was so encouraging to read that there are others who love the Lord so much. My prayers will be for you that He would bless you and your family, and thank you for being so faithful and such an encouragement to me.
Paul
Ingrid,
We are so very sad that Slice is gone. It has been an invaluable source of information and one greatly needed. Service providers are supposed to back up sites. It is simply astounding that they didn’t back yours up. We hope that you will at some point reconsider and are thankful for the time you had to share the truth with us on Slice.
May God bless you!
Ingrid,
I, too, am very sad for what has happened to you and to Slice. I’ve been checking every day for it’s return. Thank you for your faithfulness and courage in your service to the Lord. I pray for you that you will feel God’s loving arms around you at this time and know we do understand your reluctance to start all over again. God bless you richly as you continue to serve Him…however and wherever He leads.
Ingrid,Take a nice rest but Please start Slice over, forget what’s past and look to what’s ahead. We need the truth your site stood for.
Ingrid, I echo many above. I have looked forward to perusing ‘Slice’ daily. Your postings were such a source of encouragement and opened my world to discernment issues that I would never have otherwise learned. Please rest a spell, kick the neighbor’s dog to alleviate any further frustration, then pick up the banner of truth and march back into the raging battle. You have encouraged us, now it’s our turn to encourage you. Onward and Upward!
Ingrid,
I’m very sorry about the tech problems with Slice - and very sad about the abuse you’ve taken for doing the right thing. Please consider continuing the ministry for the sake of our Lord’s honor and the edification of all of us who have come to hear what you have to say daily. I, for one, have found it very helpful.
As for the detractors, I’d remind you of the encouragement God gave to Elijah in 1 Kings 19, and suggest to you as well that there are many out here “who have not bowed their knee to Baal” as well.
However God leads you, I want to say “thank you” for what you’ve done for me.
Ingrid, You have been a source of encouragement and sound doctrine for me. I grieve with you over the loss of your articles. Only know that, though they are not scripture, the Father is even now using them to accomplish His purposes in the hearts and minds (and probably a few hard drives) of His children. Like me. Thank you.
On the narrow way,
Wayne
Ingrid, I’m sorry to hear what happened with Slice. It’s a shame that the service provider was so careless. I had looked forward to reading Slice as it encouraged me in my faith walk as well as informed me of the apostasy that is taking place in the churches so I’m not clueless.
I’m sorry that all of your work had been erased online. But know this, all of your work had not been in vain, because God knows your heart and your burden to share these things to those who are concerned.
It’s unfortunate there are tares among the wheat who in their own arrogance and conceit think they are of God, but the fruit that they bear is not good. It’s a shame that their ignorance of Scriptures as well as understanding things of God went by the wayside as they resemble the world. I’m sorry you had to be exposed to fowl language and crude criticisms from unsaved souls who disguise themselves as ministers. To their shame they will receive judgment.
I pray that whatever the Lord leads you to do, that you follow His guidance.
Maybe sometime you may be lead to start another site, and maybe not. But God is faithful to use this time to heal your hurt and allow you to be encouraging through this blog.
My prayers are with you. God Bless.
Thank you Ingrid for all the wisdom and warning that came to us from Slice. May God continue to bless you and prosper you in the richness of His Word. Thank you for being stedfast and bold in declaring God’s Word in this fallen and corrupt culture.
Ingrid,
I tried sending you an email but it sent it back to me, so I’m leaving a comment, hopefully it isn’t too long.
I think you probably remember me as the young man who wrote you after I posted a letter of concern on the door of my church eight months ago. I have to admit that I am saddened by the closure of Slice of Laodicea, but most of all in this letter I want to thank you.
When I first discovered your blog a year and half ago, it was just after I had become a real Christian, finally surrendering my whole life to God. I found myself awakened in a Christendom that was slowly adapting and accepting the filth of modern culture. Only months before then, I was an advocate of the “relevant” seeker-sensitive church, but after God shook me, I began to see the deception that it really was. I began to seek Christian voices on the Internet who were speaking against the tide of secularism seeping into the church. It was such a blessing to find your blog. Each day I read your blog, it was like a light slowly being turned up in dark room. I saw the truth more and more and began to see the mess not only in my own church but in the American church as well. Upon listening to sermons, radio shows (including Crosstalk) and reading books by conservative fundamental teachers I began to grow rapidly in my walk with the Lord. It was after reading Ray Comfort’s “The Way of the Master” book that the Lord finally confirmed to me what was wrong with my church. It was then that I confronted my Pastor and he forced me to resign.
I am now in seminary studying to be either be a pastor or evangelist at one of the last seminaries in America that still hold to an inerrant position on Scripture.
I just want to thank you for helping me so much Ingrid. Your voice has stood out in my mind as one of many that the Lord has used to shape me into the Christian man I am today, your voice among many current godly figures in my life like Ray Comfort, John MacArthur, Todd Friel, and Dennis Kinlaw, who have influenced and equipped me so much.
I just want to encourage you that all your efforts were not in vain.
May God richly bless you and your family,
Sincerely,
Tres Adames
So sad to read the news. I often would read aloud from Slice to my family and will continue to do that here. My prayers are with you. We must continue to seek out the truth of these apostate teachers and their so called worship centers. Crosstalk as well as WOTM radio and DavidWheaton.com are just a couple resources that come to mind. Get out and preach His Truth with the law to humble and then The Good News! Let’s put ourselves out there for His Glory!
Ingrid,
Thank you for Slice. I found it by “accident” one day. My husband and I could not understand what was happening. We were trying to find a church home. But the churches were filled with skits and silliness. They sing ditties over and over and over. My favorite was “Yes Lord”. So many other things were going on that just wasn’t right. When I found your site, I didn’t even understand what you were talking about. I had never heard the words, “emerging church” before and had difficulty figuring out what you meant. But the more I read, I realized that you were describing our experiences. Now I know what emerging churches are and what seeker friendly is. We still don’t have a church home and we have surely tried to find one. I will trust God to show us His will. But thank you for educating me and encouraging me.
Dear Ingrid,
Oh, I am so saddened by what has happened to Slice. I can only echo the sentiments of others here, they have written eloquently of the feelings that I know so many have and will have as they learn that Slice is gone.
I do want to say an amen to NL who suggested you start all over. Maybe that is just being selfish of me, but there are not very many voices like yours out there anymore.
I am not knowledgeable about web site management myself, but my husband has a huge site he has built to show the glory of God in His creation via nature photography. He has his site backed up on another server, so that he doesn’t have to worry about losing his work. I know he would feel devestated to lose everything, as you are, but he has taken measures to save his work so that if his server goes down or erases his work, he can start over, though it wouldn’t be easy, it could be done. Again, I am not knowledgable enough about this, and you are probably aware of all of this so forgive me if I am telling you something you already know. I can tell you as a reader that I spent most of my perusing on your site looking at the latest posts. I rarely went to the archives, so for someone like me, the fact that the old stuff is gone wouldn’t matter that much as long as there are new posts.
I also find it hard to beleive that the server had totally gotten rid of all of yor files. Makes me wonder if they just don’t want to look real hard? Maybe you have a reader who understands all of this and could advise you of the possibility that your work could still be rescued.
God bless you Ingrid for all the work you have done for the Lord, for your willingness to take a stand for the truth and for blessing so many with your wonderul gift of communication, both in print and on air. You truly are a light in the darkness.
Ingrid,
It appears some of the way back links don’t work and some of the reader comments are lost. The 2006 articles appear to be in better shape than 2007. Some functions, such as “search” also do not seem to be available. But a lot of the data is still there. All the way back to October 2005, slice is still alive if a little pruned and living in obscurity
I’m sorry you are finished with your work at Slice.
I was raised in a very old-fashioned and strong church that went off the rails, so to speak, 7 years ago. They went after the Purpose-Driven style, and the Bible went out of fashion. The only familiar part that remained was a holier-than-thou attitude toward other Christians. So we had the ugliness with none of the attempt at holiness (or so it seemed). The preaching was hollow. Ministry turned to gimmick after gimmick. Prosperity gospel was creeping in. Respect for the elderly was going out. And appearances were absolutely everything
After several hair-raising experiences and coming to believe that the word of God really didn’t matter anymore, my husband and I went seeking. We found a group that seemed a little soft on Bible, but strong on kindness and brotherly love. We reasoned that we could study, and teach our children, our doctrine at home. But in the meantime they could meet and worship with Christians who behaved in a Christ-like manner toward others.
In our naivity we didn’t realize we were in a very seeker-sensitive church. I won’t go into all of it, but many of the situations you discussed on Slice could have occurred in our church (usually slightly more reverent but still).
Thanks to your influence thru Slice, and thru the oldtruth.com site, I have been reaching back in my mind and in my faith. Not toward the old churches I knew growing up, where simple faith was only taught if it was in style, but much farther back. Back to Jesus and the 12. Back to the book. Back to the teachings of my faithful mother all those years ago.
We can’t go back to our old churches. They aren’t there. We can’t stay with the new; they are kind people but it is not what Jesus died for. They are preaching another gospel of humanism and earthly accomplishment.
I don’t know where to go, just yet. We want to find a church that tries to be true, but I begin to doubt that we will. I know God knows our needs, so I’m not worried.
I’m almost crying to learn that I can’t read the Slice archives. They were helping, especially the sermons and hymns in contrast to modern teaching.
I just wanted to let you know that your efforts were noticed and appreciated. I’m sure I’m not the only one that you have helped to re-direct back to the straight and narrow way. God bless you in your future endeavors.
Dear Ingrid,
I want to thank you for the work, that you have done in regards to informing us about the contemporary church. I believe that this is a vital ministry and I am saddened that your data was lost. I urge you to reconsider, if you should secumb to this attack from the devil or press on with this much needed comentary on todays church.
Many blessings to you and your family.
Michael
Something that’s worth trying (to retrieve the content of the Slice site) is to see what’s recorded in the Wayback Machine (http://www.archive.org/web/web.php). It’ll be some months out of date at the moment, but most of the content should be there.
pax et bonum
Thank you, Ingrid, for your labor. As I said on Slice, it was the first Slice that helped me continue to seek the Truth of the Lord. My eyes were being opened and I had no idea how to handle it. Then the Lord led me to you and Pastor Ken and others who were like-minded and it was so comforting. I am glad that your site was available to teach me more of what to look for and to lead me to be a Berean.
I appreciate you! Many blessings in Christ to you and your family,
Melissa
Ingrid,
I also want to thank you for being a watchman on the wall. It continually astonishes me how many Christians are totally unaware of the error permeating the church today, but I was one of the fortunate ones who was able to read your material and learn.
Although the old articles are now gone, there is constantly new stuff happening that we need to be aware of. Hopefully you will come back, armed with the new information we all need.
Blow the trumpet, sound the warning - if you don’t, who will?
*** Be assured that someone paid your Web Host to take Slice down. ***
Slice was a threat to the multi-million dollar pocketbooks of Big Ministry. “Abide in Me, and let My Word abide in you”, does not produce Church Revenue. “Fight the Good Fight of Faith” does not fill offering plates.
Slice hurt the New Age spiritualists masquerading as Christian ministers.
Slice damaged the reputation of the Freudian Psycho-Babblers and the Inner Healers.
The Money Preachers cannot tolerate the attack on the $$ bottom line. The Gurus and the Soothsayers can’t have their followers reading the Words of Jesus Christ. The Psychologists don’t want people to Stop Looking Backwards.
So a payment was made, a wink and a handshake, and Slice is down.
Press on toward the goal, Ingrid. He that is in you, is greater than he that is in the world.
Ingrid,
Did you get the first message I sent before the Janine(again) message?
John,
I thought of the same thing before bedtime last night. And, yes, most of the data is still there.
Janine
I do hope you will find another web host & put Slice back up.
You are a voice crying in the wilderness.
There are so few left these days.
I know your heart has been broken & as Fred says there may have been some dirty deals but don’t give up!
Sister:
Don’t let the devil get the victory here (though it must be extremely discouraging, to say the least, of all those hours of laboring for His glory being lost…). Continue steadfast in your reporting to the body of Christ through “Slice.” You have been a breath of fresh air in the polluted realm of “Christianity.” March on as a Soldier of Christ. May the Lord grant you peace, joy, and perseverance. Any may He bless you & yours.
Slave of Jesus,
Tim >
As a long time reader of your Slice of Laodicea blog I was really disappointed when I went to check it today and saw that you were no longer going to continue the site. I had been concerned when I noticed the site was down for the last few days and my first thoughts were that maybe one of the many enemies of the truth had managed to hack into your site and cause problems.
While I can only imagine the heartache of loosing the fruit of countless hours of work, let me say that your voice for the truth will be missed and over the time that I have read Slice on a regular basis I always found it a blessing not only for boldly proclaiming the truth but also for informing your many readers of the deception and dangerous teachings that are so prevalent in “churches” today.
I wish you the best and am sure that there are countless others who have appreciated your efforts and you insights but never took the time to let you know how much we appreciate your ministry and your efforts in standing for the truth and proclaiming the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I have always made the Slice the one blog that I read in my limited time because it was always so informative and the message you consistently and faithfully proclaimed is one that is so needed in today’s “Christian” environment. Thank you so much for your faithful service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I wish you the best and will miss reading the Slice of Laodicea.
In Christ
Alan Hutchins
My heart is broken for you, Ingrid. I cannot even imagine the depth of loss you are experiencing. I hope that some of your work is, as was suggested by a couple of other folks, possibly recoverable.
Thank you so much for all you have done. I discovered Slice only a few months ago when trying to discern how to think about some changes our church made in the Spring. This church started down the “growth” path almost 3 years ago, but I didn’t have any understanding of what was happening in the church-at-large and I supported the early changes. In fact, I thought our leaders to be brilliant; I thought they had come up with their ideas all on their own. What could be bad about making church less threatening to the “unchurched” I thought at the time!
The Lord led me to you, to Pastor Ken over at Apprising, Team Pyro, Old Truth…I was graciously awakened by the Holy Spirit…I looked forward almost daily to peeking in to Slice to get the latest updates on church issues. Raising questions armed with truth from the Word of God, I was unceremoniously invited to attend a different church…
I pray that at some point you will feel you can pick up the torch again.
It’s a shame that your website got shut down. Afterall, the internet is a tool of Satan. Therefore it shouldn’t be used to promote worthless propaganda about churches that are truly evangelizing and kingdom work in general. Scripture clearly states that the harvest is plentiful, hence the large numbers of “mega-churches”. If the workers were plentiful, then there would be a lot more “mega-churches”. But the workers are few.
I’m not defending every church that you’ve bashed, but I am bashing your method of attack.
You speak boldly about “it is very difficult to lose the work that you spent so much time doing” and “the countless hours of work I put into the writing on that site”. What a travesty!! What a waste of time!! What kind of impact could you have had on the kingdom had you spent those “countless hours” sharing the Gospel with the lost?
But no, you chose to attack churches passionate about kingdom work. God’s sovereignty reigned supreme in this case. Your works have fallen like wood, hay, and stubble. It’s obvious what God thinks of the way you’ve been acting.
My earnest prayer is that you quit looking for issues with fellow believers and that you now devote your time to the passionate pursuit of lost souls that are doomed for the pits of eternal damnation. If you go after those like you went after fellow believers, you’ll have a plethora of rewards to lay at Jesus’ feet!!
Begging you to fight together in God’s army,
Vaughn Harris
I couldn’t say it better than the previous commentators. Slice was and has been vital in my family reaching truth in the Church. I truly understand your reluctance to restart and know that you need some much needed rest. I will now make this sight amongst my daily reading.
Your voice was so refreshing and so needed in this time of ‘emergents.’ Please reconsider. We need you.
Sincerely in Him,
Jean
We agree with Fred. Someone paid someone to take you off. In fact thats the first thing that we thought happened when we saw you were down. Betcha its going to happen to alot of the other good ones on line here soon too. We believe the final countdown is well underway and besides web sites…….churches, then home churhes, then underground, then Jesus hopefully will show up on the scene. We enjoyed Slice very much, but also understand. Thank you for a wonderful informative site that you had.
Ingrid,
When I noticed Slice was down, my first thought was that it had been hijacked.
I appreciate all the work you put into Slice. It kept me informed with very little effort on my part.
Even though Satan may attack us, he will not win in the end. Regardless, please remember that there always have been and always will be readers like me quietly sitting back watching, learning, and passing that knowledge on to others. I guess what I’m trying to say is that your work definitely was not in vain; and if you decide to resurrect Slice or something similar, it too will not be in vain.
Thank you.
Ingrid, I want to thank you so much for Slice. I don’t know if it’ll be back but I have to tell you I would have been lost if it had not been for Slice. It kept me going through a very difficult year of church hunting. It gave me hope and information and most of all, it gave me fellowship with other, stronger Believers. Thank you so much for the hard work, the good information, the show of strength and endurance and the flat out courage you have. I know you’ve taken a lot of abuse from other ‘Christian’ but I hope you realize that even more love you and are thankful for you.
My continued prayers will be for you and your family.
This is a note to Vaughn. I don’t need to defend Ingrid. Her integrity precedes her. But I would suggest that you might read some of the OT Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel) and also the words of Jesus to the religious. If you have a problem with Ingrid’s presentation, what would you say of theirs? Praise God that there are people out there that do truly care that people are being led into the pit. Her methods may not be yours, but have had a major impact on the lost. I believe her intent is to save the lost.
Sincerely in Christ,
Jean
Dear Ingrid,
Thank you for all you have done to reach the lost souls in today’s churches that are more concerned with deeds instead of the GOSPEL of the Lord. Thank you for all the eyes you have opened to the truth of what is invading our churches, what is making them more ‘man centered’ than Christ centered. Thank you for enduring the fight for the Lord. Thank you for showing us that Jesus is not a genie that gives us what we want, but is the King of King and Lord of Lords that saved us from the punishment of our sins. Thank you for exposing the so called leaders who are more concerned with their latest book on How to have your BEST now, how to get more now, bigger and better NOW when we, the true believers are not of this earth and what it can give us, but are of serving and Worshiping our Lord for what he has done for us. The kingdom is not here and now, the kingdom is to come When the Lord returns!
We who speak the truth will continue to be scorned by those who focus on what they can do for the Lord, tickling their own ears with words that pump up their pride. We are told we will suffer for our true beliefs, The falling away is all around us…
God Bless you Ingrid!
Mary Ann
Hi Ingrid, never have messaged or commented before, but I had Slice on my personal homepage and was surprised to find when I clicked on it today I got something called “seha.” I don’t understand what all happened, whether it was an accident, persecution, or what, just want to say thank you for all you did, it was a helpful site. God bless you, Cindy
This is also to Vaughn:
Since you talk about wood, hay, stubble why didn’t you back up and see what the foundation was built on? Not Elvis, clowns, big numbers, etc. Also, Paul planted, APOLLOS WATERED, but God gave the increase. Ingrid has always sought to give the Lord Jesus the glory. Did it ever occur to you there are different members in the body doing different things?
I’m not sure if my last comment got posted or not, so here we go again. I hope you start up again as it is obvious that your site is needed and is helpful to many. I notice one commentator who thinks God may have shut down the site because he thinks you are divisive. I would suggest that a fair bit of the new testament divides and it is necessary in the preaching of truth that one points out the error. You are in my prayers. God bless, Vince.
Ingrid, nothing that’s posted on the internet is lost forever. Like John and Janine said above, there are places that archive the internet, and apparently a lot of your stuff from Slice is still in existance.
Please don’t give up so easily! No one knows for sure if it was “foul play” or not, but if it was, someone could get into a whole lot of trouble for it! I say that’s all the more reason to keep on going . . . there’s truth in the Bible that desperately needs to get out to the world. If you started again you could always get a partner to help you, if you wanted. But if you don’t want to start again I understand that. Just know that there are a lot of other bloggers that are getting the same insults you were for standing up for what they believe in! One thing I love about the US is having freedom of speech; it’s too bad that so many people abuse that.
Anyway, thank you and God bless!
Ingrid, I too echo the sentiments already shared above. Our journey out of a church which was about to introduce “40 days” led us to your site. To those reading this like Vaughan, I would say that I don’t simply blindly agree with what Ingrid writes/what CRN writes/what old truth writes etc etc! A faithful “berean” researches for themselves. Slice was a tool for me to gain knowledge of what is happening around the world (I’m from Australia and it’s happening here too!) That is, not only a watering down of the gospel, but an apostasy - a turning away from biblical TRUTH - to “EXPERIENTIAL” christianity.
Ingrid, and all these precious christians who take time out of their lives to post information on the internet, for other christians around the world to access and then research for themselves, should be commended - not attacked. Isn’t that what the word WISDOM is all about??? That we inquire ourselves - not just blindly follow anyone!!! By the way, I would add that the comments from others christians around the world in relation to articles that Ingrid posted blessed me also - strangers in Christ that I have never met - but their wise words shone like beacons at times.
So thank you Ingrid for all the time and effort you sowed into this ministry. Know that you and your family have, and will be upheld in prayer.
A sister in Christ.
Ingrid,
While I am not particularly a fan of VCY, I discovered Slice a few weeks ago and have appreciated your efforts. It is a shame that all of that work and effort and information is gone. God is still sovereign.
I’m with you, Ingrid, and encourage you in whatever the Lord leads you to do. May God bless you for all that you have done for Him.
